Additional Applicant Information
The following personal statement, activity profile, and financial profile should be typed double-spaced with one-inch margins using 12-point font. Each should be no more than two pages in length. Each should begin on a new page.
Provide a written statement to the scholarship committee about why you are deserving of this scholarship. Helpful information may include your educational goals and objectives, and career aspirations.
List the school, employment and/or community activities in which you are/were an active participant. Describe the nature of the involvement, your role when you participated in the activities, and how much of your time was devoted to that activity.
Please describe how you plan to finance your college education, and details concerning your family’s ability to help with the cost of your education.
Each applicant is required to provided letters of reference and current transcripts with their application.
Letters of Reference
Two letters of reference are required. These letters should come from individuals outside of your immediate family who are personally acquainted with your character and motivation and are willing to provide relevant commentary about those qualities. Letters from teachers, principals, coaches, business leaders, and organization leaders are encouraged. Letters must accompany application materials.
Attach a current transcript for each institution to which you are currently enrolled. First semester freshmen should attach a transcript from your high school (and college if enrolled in dual-credit courses). Unofficial transcripts are permitted.
Each applicant will be required to sign a statement indicating that they certify the information in the application is correct to the best of their knowledge and to authorize the release of name and relationship to the Division of Finance and Operations employee. The certification is on the second page of the application.
